November 10, 1997, DownEast Today made its debut with Rick Vernon as host, and
Randy Johnson as co-host, and it quickly went on to become one of the most
talked-about local cable programs in Lenoir County. Now, in its 13th year,
DownEast Today continues to deliver inventive local information daily.
Today, 13 years later Catch the DownEast team of Rick Vernon, Martha Bishop
and John Moore weekdays for home spun humor, interesting guests and great
entertainment by local performers.
